2015 Sun Country Snowshoe Run/Walk - Cancelled

Due to low snow in Cle Elum, this event has been cancelled.  All refunds will be processed by Feb 9th.  Thanks for your interest, hopefully next year!

Please join us Sat Feb 14th for this fun snowshoe run/walk through the woods at the beautiful Sun Country Golf Course. Whether you plan on running or walking and enjoying the scenery, it should be a fun event for everyone. This run is also the WA State Championships and regional qualifier for the USSSA Snowshoe Racing Championships in beautiful Vermont. Bring the whole family for a fun day in the snow!

The Race

• Discounted snowshoe rentals of $5, with convenient pick-up and drop-off right at the event.  Either select Snowshoe Rental and pay during On-Line Registration or you can request and pay at the event day-of (while supplies last).
• Snowshoe running doesn't require special clothes, just wear running shoes and dress like a winter trail run.  See our FAQ for more info.
• Course will be in mostly open areas, some forest trails. No risk of avalanches or steep slopes.
• Terrain will be varied with some hill climbs and descents.
• At the finish we'll have a choice of hot soups, bread, cookies and other goodies to fuel you up.
• Access to indoor bathrooms and a warm club house.
  
• Atmosphere will be fun, geared for everyone to have a good time. Great fun for families.
• Dogs will be welcome to accompany you on the course, provided they are leashed. (Please see FAQ for more information.)
• If not enough snow to safely snowshoe, the event will convert to a trail run on the golf course.

Pre-registration available on our website only, payment via Credit Card through PayPal, with or without an account.  Day of Event registration with Credit Card only, if event hasn't sold out.  Prices listed below do not include tax.

Race HQ Location

The race HQ and Start location will be 1.5 hours East of Seattle at the Sun Country Golf Course.

Directions (coming from the West, Seattle):

• East on I90, go 75 mi
• Exit 78 for Golf Course Rd
• Right at the end of the exit ramp
• Immediate Left onto Sun Country Rd (before RR tracks), go 0.8 mi
• 1st Right onto Augusta Blvd, go 0.1 mi
• 1st Left onto St. Andrew's Dr, go 0.2 mi to the Club House

Directions (coming from the East, Ellensburg):

• West on I90, go 27.8 mi
• Exit 78 for Golf Course Rd
• Left at the end of the exit ramp
• Quick 2nd Left onto Sun Country Rd (before RR tracks), go 0.8 mi
• 1st Right onto Augusta Blvd, go 0.1 mi
• 1st Left onto St. Andrew's Dr, go 0.2 mi to the Club House
