2017 Sun Country Snowshoe Run/Walk

We've reached capacity! Unfortunately, we have to restrict the attendance to 80 people due to limited parking.  You may join the Waitlist, and will be notified if someone cancels.

Come join us Sat Feb 11th for this fun annual snowshoe run/walk through the woods at the beautiful Sun Country Golf Course. Whether you plan on running or walking and enjoying the scenery, it should be a fun event for everyone. Bring the whole family for a fun day in the snow!

The Race

• Discounted snowshoe rentals of $5, with convenient pick-up and drop-off right at the event.  Either select Snowshoe Rental and pay during On-Line Registration or you can request and pay at the event day-of (while supplies last). RENTAL SNOWSHOES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. You can rent snowshoes from RideRoslyn, and have them available at the race. Ask for Glenn.
• Snowshoe running doesn't require special clothes, just wear running shoes and dress for a winter trail run.  See our FAQ for more info.
• Course will be in mostly open areas, some forest trails. No riskof avalanchesor steep slopes.
• Terrain will be varied with some hill climbs and descents.
• At the finish we'll have a choice of hot soups, bread,cookies and other goodies to fuel you up.
• Access to indoor bathrooms and a warm club house.
• Atmosphere will be fun, geared for everyone to have a good time. Great fun for families.
• Dogs will be welcome to accompany you on the course, provided they are leashed. (Please see FAQ for more information.)
• If not enough snow to safely snowshoe, the event will be cancelled, and full refunds issued.
• Tubbs Romp to Stomp is no longer holding their events, but we'd love to have you come try our Snowshoe Run.

Pricing

Pre-registration available on our website only, payment via Credit Card through PayPal (doesn't require PayPal account.)  Day of Event registration with Credit Card only, if event hasn't sold out.

Day of Run Schedule

Day-of Registration, Check-in, Start/Finish are all at the run HQ.

Race HQ Location

The race HQ and Start location will be 1.5 hours East of Seattle at the Sun Country Golf Course.

The upper road (St. Andrews Drive) will be closed for the event, so please use the lower road as described below.

Directions (coming from the West, Seattle):

• East on I90 over Snoqualmie Pass
• Exit 78 for Golf Course Rd
• Right at the end of the exit ramp, go 20 yards
• Immediate Left onto Sun Country Rd (before RR tracks), go 0.8 mi
• 1st Right onto Augusta Blvd, go 0.1 mi
• 1st Left onto St. Andrew's Dr, go 0.2 mi to the Club House parking lot on the right.

Directions (coming from the East, Ellensburg):

• West on I90 to Cle Elum, past the Weight Station at Bullfrog
• Exit 78 for Golf Course Rd
• Left at the end of the exit ramp, go under I90
• Quick 2nd Left onto Sun Country Rd (before RR tracks), go 0.8 mi
• 1st Right onto Augusta Blvd, go 0.1 mi
• 1st Left onto St. Andrew's Dr, go 0.2 mi to the Club House parking lot on the right.
