2020 Sun Country Snowshoe Run/Walk

Come join us Sat Feb 8th for this fun annual snowshoe run/walk through the river valley of the Teanaway Whether you plan on running or walking and enjoying the scenery, it should be a fun event for everyone. Bring the whole family for a fun day in the snow!

Due to low-snow conditions, the event has been moved to the Teanaway Valley. 

The Race

• Discounted snowshoe rentals of $10, with convenient pick-up and drop-off right at the event.  Either select Snowshoe Rental and pay during On-Line Registration or you can request and pay at the event day-of (while supplies last).  2 pairs of snowshoes are still available! (2/4/20)
  
• Snowshoe running doesn't require special clothes, just wear running shoes and dress for a winter trail run.  See our FAQ for more info.
• Course will be in mostly open areas, some forest trails. No riskof avalanchesor steep slopes.
• Terrain will be varied with some hill climbs and descents.
• At the finish we'll have a choice of hot soups, bread,cookies and other goodies to fuel you up.
• Atmosphere will be fun, geared for everyone to have a good time. Great fun for families.
• Dogs will be welcome to accompany you on the course, provided they are leashed. (Please see FAQ for more information.)
• If not enough snow to safely snowshoe, the event will be cancelled, and full refunds issued.
• Tubbs Romp to Stomp is no longer holding their events, but we'd love to have you come try our Snowshoe Run.

Pre-registration available on our website only, payment via Credit Card through PayPal (doesn't require PayPal account.)  Day of Event registration with Credit Card only, if event hasn't sold out.

Day of Run Schedule

Day-of Registration, Check-in, Start/Finish are all at the run HQ.

Race HQ Location

Due to low-snow conditions, the event has been moved to the Teanaway Valley. 

The race Start and Finish location will be at the end of the plowed W Fork Teanawy Road, past the Teanaway Campground (link to Google Map). There is limited parking, so please carpool if you can. A Discover Pass is required to park.

Directions from I-90 in Cle Elum:

• Take exit 85 on I-90 to WA-10/WA-970 in Kittitas County.
• Turn right to stay on WA-10/WA-970 for 6.5 miles
• Turn left onto Teanaway Rd for 7.3 miles
• Turn left onto W Fork Teanaway Rd, take it to the end.
• Park on the left side of the road.
