Join us for this fun snowshoe course in the Teanaway Valley, with views of Mt Stuart and the surrounding mountain ranges. This event will include a 5K and 10K distance, with plenty of ups and downs. Whether you plan on running or walking and enjoying the scenery, it will be a fun event for everyone. This will be a new course. If there's not enough snow, it will be moved back down along the river in the meadow, same as previous years.

The Race

Course will wind through a forest and open meadows. Starts with a moderate hill climb, and a fast, fun descent to the finish. No risk of avalanches or steep slopes.
Discounted snowshoe rentals of $15, with convenient pick-up and drop-off right at the event. Either select Snowshoe Rental and pay during On-Line Registration or you can request and pay at the event day-of (while supplies last).
Snowshoe running doesn't require special clothes, just wear running shoes and dress for a winter trail run. See our FAQ for more info.
At the finish we'll have a choice of hot soups, bread, cookies and other goodies to fuel you up.
Atmosphere will be fun, geared for everyone to have a good time. Great fun for families.
Dogs will be welcome to accompany you on the course, provided they are leashed. (Please see FAQ for more information.)
If not enough snow to safely snowshoe, the event will be cancelled, and full refunds issued.

Race HQ Location

The race Start and Finish location is at the end of the plowed W Fork Teanaway Road (Google Link). The closest address is 1801 W Fork Teanaway Rd Cle Elum, WA 98922. There is limited parking, so please carpool if you can. A Discover Pass is required to park.

Directions from I90:

Take exit 85 on I-90 to WA-10/WA-970 in Kittitas County.
Go left over the overpass
Turn right to stay on WA-10/WA-970 for 6.5 miles
Turn left onto Teanaway Rd for 7.3 miles
Turn left onto W Fork Teanaway Rd, take it to the end.
Park on the left side of the road. A Discover Pass is required to park.
